The SAO Tactical brought the long-awaited frame-mounted safety to the 92 family, along with a single-action-only trigger. This silver version is chambered in 9mm, has a 4.7 inch barrel and holds 18 rounds. It is new.

Beretta's own description credits the model with an ambidextrous frame-mounted safety that sits in easy reach, an X-treme single-action-only flat-faced trigger, performance DLC-coated trigger components and a lightweight skeletonized hammer. Those parts give the trigger a crisp feel.

Single-action only means the hammer stays cocked and each shot breaks the same way. It rewards practice, and it asks for attention to the safety. If you are new to the layout, spend time with an instructor.

A silver finish is a change from the usual black. It shows less wear from handling and looks clean on a range bench. Eighteen rounds in the magazine gives you a deep reserve for competition or training. If your state limits capacity, check the rule before you buy. The photos will show the sights and grips. The pistol ships to a licensed dealer you choose, where you complete the background check and take delivery.
