Trade-ins come in grades, and this one is listed as good to very good. It is a Glock 17 Gen 5 from law enforcement service, chambered in 9mm Luger, with a 4.49 inch barrel and a 17-round capacity.

The Gen5 is the latest of the pistols in this listing, with a refined barrel, no finger grooves and a flared magwell. It is a full-size gun that handles well and is easy to shoot accurately. The Gen5 also has an ambidextrous slide stop and a reversible magazine catch, so left-handed shooters can set it up to fit. Check that every magazine seats with a firm click and drops free when you press the release.

Look at the photos to see the finish. Police guns often show holster wear, but they have not usually been shot much.

At this price, a G17 Gen5 is a strong value for a new shooter or for someone who wants a duty pistol for the nightstand. The G17 has a record of reliability, and parts are everywhere. It is sold used and as described. It ships to your FFL dealer, and the background check is completed there.
