A new Glock 22 Gen4 is a plain, practical gun. It is chambered in .40 S&W and finished in black, and it is new, which means no previous owner and a clean slate.

The G22 is a full-size duty pistol, but check the photos or ask if you need to confirm details. The Gen4 version has finger grooves, a reversible magazine release and a modular backstrap system, and it has a dual recoil spring that tames the sharp .40 S&W round. A good holster and a sturdy belt matter as much as the pistol, so budget for both.

The G22 is a favorite of police departments, and many people buy one for the same reason. It is simple to learn, easy to maintain and sturdy. The pull is consistent from the first shot to the last.

If you want a duty-size pistol with a bigger bullet than 9mm, this is a classic choice. You will spend a bit more on ammunition and feel more recoil, so spend time at the range. Parts and holsters are everywhere. The pistol ships to your FFL dealer, and the background check is completed there.
