The AX1 label marks a Legion with the lighter, more modern styling, and this one is single-action only, in gray cerakote, chambered in 9mm. It is new.

Single-action only means the hammer stays cocked and the trigger breaks short and clean every time. It simplifies the shot, which is useful for target work and match shooting. You need to be comfortable with the safety and the cocked-hammer carry method before using it away from the range.

The X in P226-X draws on the legacy of the X-Five, and the Legion name stands for SIG's top-line finish and fit. Cerakote is a ceramic-based coating, and it is a good match for a pistol that gets handled and holstered often.

The all-metal P226 frame is heavy enough to damp recoil, which keeps the sights steady between shots. Hands of many sizes find the grip workable. For a shooter who wants a high-end single-action SIG with a distinctive color, this is a strong candidate. The pistol ships to a licensed dealer you choose, where you complete the background check and pick it up.
