Not every pistol needs to be a big caliber. The Walther P22Q is a .22 Long Rifle pistol that looks like a larger Walther and shoots with almost no recoil. This one is used and comes with two magazines and the factory box.

For a new shooter, a .22 is the best way to learn. The ammunition is cheap, the noise is low and the recoil is light, so you can focus on grip, stance and trigger control. Read the manual before the first range trip, since controls differ even between pistols that look alike.

The P22Q is a polymer pistol, and it handles like the company's bigger models. It is a good way to practice with a similar feel at a fraction of the cost per round. Experienced shooters like a .22 for plinking, for small game, and for keeping their skills fresh.

Rimfire pistols can be picky about ammunition, so try a few brands to see what feeds best. Clean it regularly, as rimfire ammunition is dirty. It is sold used and as described. It ships to your FFL dealer, and the background check is completed there.
